There are many variables to consider when creating secure and memorable passwords. If using one contiguous sequence of characters, avoid using dictionary words or meanings. Use sequences that are meaningful to you but nonsensical to others. Alternately, consider using pass phrases such as whole words and sentences including capitalization and punctuation.

Passwords that are used on our site require that users meet a few requirements. Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters and no more than 128 characters. Passwords must also meet at least 3 of the following requirements.

  • It must contain at least one lowercase letter.
  • It must contain at least one uppercase letter.
  • It must contain at least one digit (0 through 9).
  • It must contain at least one special character (!, @, #, $, etc).
